The Full Story
About
Upper primary students face a significant milestone: preparing for the PEP Exam and moving on to the next grade. It is a time filled with pressure and expectations. Students ponder subconscious questions: Can I read well enough? Can I write clearly? Am I ready? Many students struggle with reading comprehension, writing clarity and expressing ideas with confidence. Language for Life was created to build literacy skills, confidence and understanding that students need to succeed in exams using different teaching and learning strategies.

Experience
Behind the series is Hope Palmer, an English Language and Literature educator and the creator of Maudlaine Education. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked closely with students facing these exact challenges. As a classroom teacher, she understands the struggles learners experience. She designs culturally relevant resources that reflect students’ identities and guide them step by step. Students move from confusion to clarity, from practice to progress, from learning for exams to learning for life.
Vision
Because literacy is more than passing a test, the goal of Language for Life is student transformation.
